The Little Vulva (2020)
The stories we hear as children form our impression of the world. It is through them that we learn about morality, sexuality and society; simultaneously, reflecting and shaping human understanding and culture. From the books that are read to us before we sleep, to the words that fall from our parents’ lips, these tales influence our interactions and aspirations, moulding the very fibre of our being… but what if the tales our society tells are corrupt? What if their lessons intend to condition us to conform to our own oppression?
The Little Vulva explores objectification, rape-culture and the traditional role of the storyteller to warn us of the dangers that lurk beneath the surface of our society.
